Context & ChallengeApproaching its centennial milestone, Maurice Blackburn Lawyers relocated to a new Melbourne CBD headquarters crafted by esteemed architects Carr. In collaboration with advertising agency One Green Bean, we were tasked to create a collection of branded spatial graphics spanning multiple floors. This included a large dimensional installation in the client reception area, a timeline gallery tracing the company’s extensive history, and – the main part – graphics enveloping the workspaces across multiple floors.

Internal BrandingBranding often centres on client communication benefits, but the potency of internal branding is paramount. It determines how every employee embodies its values, fosters a shared vision, and influences any of the company’s actions. With the firm’s extensive legacy, there was a significant opportunity to inspire the staff by highlighting the profound personal impact of their work. And nothing captures the impact of justice more powerfully than real people sharing their personal stories.
A Graphic ApproachFor the main spatial floor features, we devised a visual treatment for the photography that draws inspiration from Carr’s interior features. This treatment adds a sharp, graphic touch to predominantly historical images of varying quality. Up close, it abstracts the visuals, ideal for an immersive workspace. Stepping back reveals a clearer picture, breathing life into the stories as one navigates through the space.
